Can I use these with my zsx break out board and just connect to 4 of the 6 pins

These cables are proprietary to the Chix board and cannot be used on anything else. The Chix board pushes 5V & 12volts for SATA power.

Would it be possible to get longer cables? The length of the cord to the first power module is only 8-11 inches. It would be very helpful if those was 2 or 3 feet. I would happily pay a premium for a longer cord because it gives me more options to stack my un-raid HDD drives.

You have a valid point but we must also consider voltage drop within the cable. in that case, length is key. However, I think pushing 20in would be ok. This is something we will consider when producing more cables. Sales are slow on this adapter at this time. But considering there is nothing like it on the market we might see this change in the near future. Thank you for the feedback it is much apreciate.

Cables are a good length and spaced apart to reach your drives no matter how you have them positioned.

can these power 4 risers for GPU mining, while each riser pulls a max of 35W? i know that the 6pin gives off 160Ws officially so theoretically this should work. i am wondering as i want to power a new rig.

Yes, if you mean Riser’s power by SATA. Great idea actually, please revert back and let me know the result.

Initial length from 4 Pin to first SATA could be longer to allow for more wiggle room, but still a wonderful and cheap solution for what I needed

Great solution. I would like to see a longer distance from the 4-pin to first SATA connection or an extender of some kind. Other than that, this is very nice!
