Product Description

AvalonMiner Controller for Avalon6 built w/ Raspberry PI 3

The AvalonMiner Controller is a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Quad Core 64 Bit 1GB and includes four USB ports. Each USB port may connect to one AUC2 (not included, but AUC2 converter can be purchased separately. Alternatively, the AUC2 comes with Avalon6 miner units when purchased directly from Canaan).

Although the Raspberry Pi can control up to 20 Avalon6 miners, each AUC2 can only connect up to 6 units to a Raspberry Pi. For the maximum simultaneous management of 20 Avalon miner units via a single Avalon Controller, connect (4) AUC2 USB adapters.

Pre-assembled in the USA inside a sleek aluminum case.

The controller we send to you will come along with an SD card with the latest firmware. You can start mining right after plugging in an ethernet cable and adjusting your network settings.

Because of the large memory capacity of the controller, your mining setup will operate reliably. By default there is a “No-WIFI mode” preset, which is the default requirement for large-scale mining deployments. Each Raspberry Pi can control up to 20 Avalon6 miners.

A6 AvalonMiner Controller Package Includes:

  • (1) AvalonMiner Controller (RPi 3 Model B)
  • (1) SD Card
  • (1) Micro USB Cable
  • (1) Aluminum Case
  • 30-day warranty

Please note: The Raspberry Pi controller unit will be shipped with network configurations set to DHCP.

I just received an A6 and thought I’d be able to start off with it plugged in to my PC’s USB. I guess I didn’t dig deeply enough to find out that an AUC is required. It sounds like the AUC is a fairly standard USB-Serial converter, and it also sounds like the RP is able to provide the correct signals directly… So is this device set up to allow me to just plug in the four-pin connector I received with the Avalon?

Hi, it’s somehow spooky to see this message after reading an email from one of our customer with diagram to bypass the AUC controller all together, using the onboard PI controller. We have not test it yet but I’m pretty sure it will work. I will email you the instruction now. Once we have it tested it on our side and with the permission from the author we will post it here.
