Got something to discuss?

4 years 11 months ago

Hello. I’ve just received 2 sets from postal office.
And now I have an issue – I cannot start both of them.
PSUs are HP HSTNS-PD18 (P/N 506822-101) and these PSU have orange label on top (on product photo there is blue label).

I also have X-adapter Ver7 (with voltage indicator) so I tried to start the PSU. It starts without load (voltmeter shows 12,3V) BUT led indicator near fan is not on so I’m not sure if it is totally ok to test with load.

It looks like some kind of incompatibility between PSU and X-adapter. Maybe it is related to AC voltage which is 220V for me.

Could you please help me with this situation. Thanks !

Hello major12.miner,

Please do not be alarmed that the status LED on the back of the 750w power supply HSTNS-PD18. For some reason only this model power supply with the part number HSTNS-PD18 has a compatibility issue with our older breakout boards and will not properly display the green LED light on the back of the power supply. Rest assured, the power supply is on and providing power when you turn the power supply on with the breakoutboard power button. We have addressed this issue with our new X11 and X6B breakout boards and the LED will light up properly when used with our new boards.

Thank you..

Hello Albert,
I got the situation with status led.
But the main issue is that X-adapter Ver5 cannot start HSTNS-PD18. Pressing power button has no effect.
Could you please help me with this issue.

Is there any switch on the device to run on a 240v PDU or anything special needed to run 240?

11 months 12 days ago

No, the PSU is a switching PSU and will detect between 120v and 240v and adapt itself. Unless you order a 200 to 277volts only PSU

I requested cancelation within minutes of placing the order. There was no response. I have received an item that does not fit and which I have no use. An apology and assurance that a PM will have a working email address would help !
