Do you know how to use this of I have have L6-30r recepticales?

    • Joseph g (store manager)

L6-30R would be for a two-phase PDU. We use these our self a lot in the past. This PDU is three-phase and will use NEMA L21-20. Consider this… You can always remove the plug and make the connection in a junction box. Wire to Wire! It’s not fancy but it works and it is legal.

Joseph; I am sorry to keep posting here. But I need one more confirmation. If I do wire to wire connection, is it safe to use only two phases of the three that goes in to PDU. The 240v will be 180 degrees phase while the three phase will be 120degrees. Will it be safe to operate the PDU just by connecting two phases in PDU input?

    • Joseph g (store manager)

Hi again, I wouldn’t attempt that. These PDUs are designed for three-phase. They are plenty of two-phases PDU on eBay at a really cheap price. On two phase that would be just fine.

Quick question i am looking for the outlet which work with this pdu. I found this will it work.

    • Joseph g (store manager)

I have to remove your link for security but that is correct. I have also modified our listing to make this connector and receptacle understood for others. > Power Cord & Socket NEMA L21-20P PDU Connector / L21-30R Receptacle required

It says “NEMA L21-20P PDU Connector” as the power cord and then “L21-30R Receptacle required” but the connector won’t fit into the outlet. Is this incorrect? do i really need a L21-20P receptacle? Please explain.

    • Joseph g (store manager)

It’s a miss print. it should have been L21-20R. Saw them on eBay at $9

I have l21 30r but the wire I’m using is a 10/4 romex Cable, do I need or should use a 10/5 cable.
