**Please Note**
If you are replacing your lower RPM fan with our TVN6100, please keep in mind that the noise level will increase and the fans may produce a small amount of vibration due to the high rate of air flow spinning at 6100 RPM. If you want to reduce the noise level, we recommend lowering the fan speed. 85% fan speed will produce approximately 5600 RPM, 70% ran speed will produce approximately 5000 RPM.

I received one of these and when I plugged it into the sys_fan header on my mobo it was pulsing consistently, repeating between low and medium RPM every second. Is there a certain amount of power draw this expects that a normal mobo couldn’t supply?

Customer
Daniel Kaufman
2 years 10 months ago

these draw about 2.5 amps from the spec and the mobo header is about 1 amp…you are lucky if you don’t burn out the header.

Customer

Will the ZSX Breakout Board had enough power to power theses? I want to use 10 of these in my gpu mining case, but not sure how much power draw will be required

Customer

Could you add metric units for the airflow and add watts consumption too in the product description ?

It may help a lot of customers specially neophytes in computer/electronic hardware and save a lot of time for the others who are of doing calculation and conversion every time.

Something like:
12V at 2.8A = 33.6W
and
260CFM = 7.3m³/min or 438m³/h

I know the fan industry loves CFM but for people outside the US, we do not have a single clue how much airflow it does represent in reality.

Thanks in advance.

How is this controlled through the ZSX Board? Is there a knob for adjustment?

Customer

Hi Joseph, is this fan the identical same type as – https://www.parallelminer.com/product/bitmain-antminer-s9k-6100-rpm-high-performance-fan-260cfm-2-8a-12v-120mm-x-38mm/

I see no difference between the two units, unless I am mistaken?

Support

Hi Renze9. The exact same item, market in different ways. We are currently very low in stock but expecting a few thousand back in stock this month. I have synced the price; thanks for the heads up.

Thanks Joseph. Can these fans be connected to the ZSX-AMP board for power? Then from the ZSX-AMP, use the 4-Pin PWM Fan Cable for ZSX Board to Motherboard Chassis Fan Port? Would it pose a problem if I wanted to connect all 10x fan headers on the ZSX and then use the 4-pin PWM fan cable to motherboard?

Support
2 years 5 months ago

Yes, but be mindful the TVN6100 is like 2.5amps I would not put more than (5) on the ZSX Fan hub side

Customer
Pavel Litorovich

For a mining rig how do you control the speed? Obviously, you cannot just plug them into 5V fan socket on your motherboard since this bad boy draws twice the current your mobo can handle. Also, can you plug it in into 5V socket on X20 board which is normally used for syncing? It produces enough voltage, but I am not sure if it can handle 2.5amps. Thanks!

I have a zsx board how many of these can I hook up? I have 12 gpu mining frame possible to have 10-12? my psu is 2000 watt dell server psu from these and I have tons of head room as my gpus are 12 1660 supers.

I have rigs with normal ATX boards, and my PSUs don’t have ZSX boards. How else can I run these??
Looking for ideas.

Support

You can connect them your motherboard fan port or Purchase a separate Fan Hub

Customer
ChaosLegionaire
2 years 5 days ago

Pretty sure the 34 watts would be too much for a regular motherboard. And most hubs only handle up to 1A fans.
Would be great if there was a fan board that let you hook up like 6 fans to a PCI-e power connector.

This will work on the antminer S19 Pro 110 TH?

Support
1 year 11 months ago

I’m not sure. We have not tested it with the S19. Unless the fan is proprietary I don’t why it would not work.

Customer
mikemues
1 year 8 months ago

the cables are too short, you would need a rated extention

Support
1 year 8 months ago

The length of the cable is in line with the Fans seen on ASIC Miner; while preventing voltage drop. For specific applications get an extension but be mindful of voltage drop.

Solid quality Fan, a little expensive but reliable. I am looking for the datasheet for this fan. I need the PWM frequency and duration/rotation speed specs for a programmatic an air pressure equalization solution. Does anyone have suggestions where we can find the manufacturer’s datasheet for this fan?

What can I say, these things really suck… Or blow….. Errr…. They’re great while sucking or blowing but they’re kinda noisy while doing so, so if you don’t like allot of noise during the sucking or blowing maybe get the sightly less powerful fans.

These products are exactly as described on their website and purchase and shipping was very simple. I would recommend Parallel Miner for anyone looking for parts for their mining equipment. I found this company looking for replacement hash boards and I would give them a 5 but I was disappointed that they only accept bitcoin payment on certain items and not other items. Overall though, great experience.

    • Joseph g (store manager)

Over the years we have experienced the high and low of BTC-related items. The gold rush to the death of Bitcoin, not to mention the newcomers who forget their electric cost is 0.15cent Kilowatt hour. For these reasons, we not only make these items final sales but we enforce it. We value your knowledge and appreciate your business Sir.

Used this to replace one of the (7000 RPM) fans that came on my ASIC, which broke after about 18 months. It doesn’t move quite as much air, but this one is *much* quieter and actually seems better balanced than the stock fans.

These are LOUD at full blast but even when it’s moderated to 50% or more the fans provide very good airflow. Just don’t expect these fans to push a lot of air and still be quiet. For my situation the trade off for better air flow is worth the noise.

    Juan Guzman (verified owner)

These fans are great, not for the faint of heart, their suggested cfm and rpm performance is not false advertising at all. The downside is they are loud! I’m talking leaf blower loud. If not properly secured they will move the frame or case due to vibration. Lastly for some reason I cannot control their speed no matter which way I connect them, either to breakoutboard or directly on the MB, I even went into bios and set manual fan speed control and nothing, just 100% balls to the wall lmao. Even attempting to control their speed though software is not possible for some reason. So i have ordered a multi fan controller and hope that allows me to tame these monstrous cfm movers.

  46. 5 out of 5

    berad (verified owner)

Juan Guzman –> be careful with any multi fan controller considering the wattage of these fans. Also even one of them will blow past the mobo header current capacity of about 1 amp. The ZSX has a fan hub that can take a few of them. You need a special cable to give it a PWM signal. Can get it from parallel miner or file down a cable that comes with many MSI motherboards for RGB control, or use I think JST connectors from amazon. Originally I set each of the chassis fan outputs on the mobo to different PWM percentages independant of temperature and then just connected the one that I wanted. More recently I found a better solution. Noctua makes a little fan hub with a dialable PWM signal that can take (but doesnt need) a signal from the mobo. So you can just plug that right into the breakout board input for PWM and now all your big fans have speed control with a little knob. 26 canadian dollars on amazon. A little expensive but it saves me having to make my own.

I don’t know how long they’ll last, which could take a month to years… However, immediately worth pointing out, the cable is about 4 inches too short to reach the bottom fan spots on S19s.

Regardless of longevity, if it doesn’t even accomplish it’s intended purpose to save them maybe less then a penny on wire, it’s worth knocking 2 stars off.

If the wire situation is improved, please update the description of the fan. Not ordering more till that happens.
