Product Description
ASUS B250 Power Supply Kit for 13 or 19 GPUs
Although this kit can be used on any ATX Motherboard the quantities of the following components are geared for the ASUS 250. This kit offers a complete power solution using ONLY TRUE Server Platinum Power Supply at 94% efficiency. As a result, no ATX PSU is required. Further, having a single source of power between the Motherboard and GPU's increases stability.
** Motherboard and GPU's are NOT Included in this Kit; Pictures are for reference only **
What's Included in this ASUS B250 power supply kit
- (2) Platinum 94% Certified 1200 WATT 110-240V PSUs , (1) ZSX + (1) X11 OR (1) ZSX AMP + (1) X11 16 port Breakout Board *
- (13, 19) 24 inch 16AWG 6 Pin Male to 8 Pin (6+2) Male PCIE Power Cable **
- (13, 19) 18AWG PCI-E 6+2pin Extension Y-Splitter Cable **
- (2) 4PIN MOLEX Y-Splitter Cable Adapter 6in ***

* ZSX Board Manual available here as a PDF. This manual is also compatible with the upgraded ZSX Amp.
** Depending on your selection of the number of GPUs.
*** We include more cables than are required so you can choose how you would like to power the 3 Molex ports on your B250 motherboard. It is normal to have 1-2 cables left over depending on the combination you select for your setup.
Please note that the cable quantity is based on GPUs that require only 1 PCIe for power. If your GPU needs 2 PCIe for power, then you will need more cables.
Installation:
No instructions are included. However, we will monitor and reply to all comments in the discussion tab. We encourage the community to also reply and comment with their experiences and collective knowledge. The above list of components included is linked to each item's listing with detailed specs. Please review the individual items for full guidance.
Please review the ZSX to motherboard wiring guide.
As always, we highly recommend installing these components in steps and test each step before moving to the next one. The first step would be to power up the B250 Motherboard with the ATX 24pin adapter, get a screen, and access the bios. The second step to set up and run two GPU's. Next, add two extra GPU's at a time and powering up and down until all are installed. Finally, "the fun part," clean up and secure all cables as desired.
Many Thanks to - James R. - for providing valuable feedback and pictures of his setup.

Todd S. asked us a very important question about the three 24pin ATX connector on the A250 board. “Since only one one 24pin ATX adapter is included in our kit; how can this work?” The A250 only use one “A” of the three 24pin Socket to power itself. The other two, B & C are simply use with the assumption that you would need two extra ATX power supply to power the GPU’s, and you must have a way to turn these PSU on and off. Now, that we have bypass this entire ATX solution; B & C 24pin connector are rendered useless.

The kit I order was complete and delivered in a timely way. I particularly appreciated the high efficiency power supplies that were included in the kit. There are no instructions that come with the kit, so the pictures on the web site are important as they clarify how to make the connections.

I only wish you would have some instructions for this and maybe a diagram of what each port is for, otherwise this product has a great presentation, the plexiglass bottom is a great touch, shows attention to detail, and that counts in my book when looking to purchase.

To keep this product description an acceptable length, each product is linked to its individual listing where you can read the full details. For your convenience, here is the XRMT Manual and here is the breakout board manual.

How is the ssd on the b250 supposed to be powered? I am using the 6pin to SATA to power a Kingston 120 GB ssd and it was showing up in slot 1 in bios then it went away like the psu is frying the ssd. Happened to 2. Tried 2 different cards/cables/and 3 cords. Now the slot reads empty. Any suggestions?

The default IP address is 192.168.1.100 You will need to be on this subnet 192.168.1..xx in order to access it. You can change it once you have access to it.

Not all pieces of the order were sent. Customer service was more combative than helpful. Stating that smaller pieces were sent but wrapped in bubble wrap used to protect the larger power supplies. Every single piece of packaging material was shredded looking for the missing pieces that were not sent. Seller refused to send the missing pieces. Their best resolution was to send everything back and once processed they would give a refund. However, there was a lengthy warning that if the return packaging was to their high expectations they would not be refunding the order. So in other words, if it wasn’t returned in what it had been sent in which had been thoroughly destroyed in searching for the missing pieces, I would not be refunded the money. Fortunately I did receive the power supplies and cables so when factoring in the missing pieces I was only out roughly $25 of a $200+ order. If you do order document everything and take pictures to protect yourself when opening and unpackaging.

Dear Matthew, every order that is processed, packed and ship is under Surveillance System, CCTV. When a customer states missing items we review this footage. We did in your case and all components were packed as they should.

Product is great. Delivery was great. Very appreciative. Didn’t realize it didn’t come with the wall plug but it makes sense as it could take any number of plugs. Would have known if there was a drop down option that included it. Now I know and hopefully this comment helps you out. 🙂

Nice setup for the B250, everything you need. Fan noise can be much louder than a normal PSU, so be prepared if noise is an issue, but that is expected with a server PSU. Everything is straightforward, but the “manual” found in the support section was helpful to double-check that everything was connected right. Highly recommend!

With standard ATX PSU being scalped left and right it was nice to locate a powerful enough PSU to help support mining rigs without spending $500+ on 1300w. The customer support and dedication this team puts in is far from none. I was lucky enough to get an order in for the B250 mining expert server PSU and within a couple days of no progress with my order I decided to email customer support to get an updated and within 30 minutes of sending my email I received more than just an updated. Due to the high volume of orders some parts of my order were not available but that did not stop their team from not only upgraded my shipping with no added cost but also included the ZSX breakout board when my original order only had the pico-board. All and all the team at Parallel Miner goes above and beyond to assure customers that their money goes to high quality PSU for a great price and that their team is always there for any questions that need to be answered. I will be a returning customer and have already recommended Parallel Miner to my friends and colleagues.

Hello team,
I am eagerly waiting for this to come back in stock. In the meantime I have some questions to make sure I order all the right compoenents for the right setup as I never used a server PSU. I appreciate your support.
My motherboard is ASUS B250 Mining Expert and I have the latest most power hungry GPUs (RTX 3090 and RTX 3080), so I am going to need to order 2 x 2400W power supplies to provide sufficient stable power to the rig, and I live in a 240V location so no issues there.
Q1. I’ve read on the PICO discussion that combining the PICO with the 2400W power supply is not ideal to power this motherboard due to the 12.5V output the PSU has compared to 12V needed by the B250. Is this problem eleminated by using the ZSX boards? Can I use the 2400W with ZSX to power the motherboard directly or will the 12.5v still be an issue?
Q2. If the ZSX solves the problem of Q1, Do I need to plug both 24PIN from each PSU’s ZSX into the motherboard? The motherboard manual says each 24PIN is responsible for powering a specific section of the B250 so should both be plugged in? Or do server PSU work in a different way that ATX PSU?
Q3. Do I need to plug in the three onboard AUX molex connectors to the first PSU as the motherboard manual suggests? I’ve researched online and it says the AUX molex connectors are only needed to be plugged in if the risers in use are from the not powered variety. All my risers are powered and many peoploe who use powered risers are running stable rigs using this motherboard without plugging the AUX molex in, but again that’s an ATX setup and this might be different.
Thank you so much for your support and I look forward to your response.
I continue to wait for this item to be back in stock, my rig completion counts on it 🙂
Cheers,
Mazen

Hi Mazenn.
Q1: This is something we have also seen back in 2017 with some particular Motherboard but not with the B250. So far we haven’t had any report of a problem powering the B250 with the 2400watt and the ZSX.
Q2: The B250 was designed assuming one would need three PSU’s to powered that many GPUs. ATX PSU is powered trigger by the motherboard. The B250 has three ATX sockets A, B, C only A is required to power the motherboard. B & C are meant to sync the other two PSUs with A; so that they can be powered on/off all at once. Using a server PSU renders these sockets useless.
Q3: This is the most important question and the answer is YES. However, if you attempt to power this with the ZSX Molex cable you will pass the limit of the ZSX Motherboard side and will permanently damage it. You will use the breakout board side PCI-e plug with this cable https://www.parallelminer.com/product/pcie-6pin-to-molex-4pin-female-24inch-16awg-12volt-only/ and split it with two of this https://www.parallelminer.com/product/4pins-molex-y-splitter-cable-adapter-6-inch-long-highest-quality-cables/ Starting this month we will include these two cables with each ZSX sold to prevent confusion. Finally look at this latest cable which will help with your setup. I know we are now out but will have plenty of stock in the coming days. https://www.parallelminer.com/product/18awg-pci-e-6pin-to-triple-8-pin-3-way-splitter-extension-cable-3x-62pin-cable/

Hi Joseph,
Thank you for your detailed response, highly aprpeciated.
Thanks as well for the splitter cable tip, and on this, for my understanding to better plan my power connections, what is the maximum watt output of each 6 pin on the breakout board?
Cheers,
Mazen
Joseph g (store manager) –
The power limit of any electric cable is base on its size. Here we have 16AWG stranded copper and they are three pairs per PCI-E cable. The extra 2pin are ground. Found the amp rating of 16AWG wires “Chassis rating” multiply the amp rating x 12volt = Watt then multiply by 3 pair. (Amp_Rating X 12) X 3 = Maximum watt per PCIe cable. To be on the safe side of things I would use only 70% of the result so X 0.70.
Also, take a look at this special cable https://www.parallelminer.com/product/18awg-pci-e-6pin-to-triple-8-pin-3-way-splitter-extension-cable-3x-62pin-cable/

Howdy, folks! I have a few questions about setting up the Delta 2400 with two X11s and the remote power management module.
1) Why are the molex splitters included in this kit? The only open molex slots I can find in this configuration are: a) three next to the PCI slots (populated by the PCIe to Molex female cables, correct?) b) one each on the X11s (for the remote power management module, right? this relates to my next question)
2) With two X11s on a single 2400 power supply, how do I connect the remote management module? Connect its molex to only one of the two X11s? Are they not interconnected?
Thanks in advance. Any help would be greatly appreciated – as would be guidance if I have anything else connected incorrectly.
Missa-Lynn (store manager) –
1) We include (3) PCIe to Molex and (3) Molex splitters so you can use any combination desired to power all 3 Molex ports on your mobo. Some people need the extra length the splitters provide, some prefer the sleeker look of only using the PCIe to Molex cables, and others still mix and match in other combinations.
2) Please note that this PSU has a master port (PSU fan side on the right) and a slave port (PSU power cord side on the left). The slave port has “limited” functionality where only the PCIe ports and green LED work. Please connect the remote management module to the master port. If you have multiple PSUs, then you would use the interconnect sync cable on the master port as well; you do not need to use an interconnect cable between the two boards on the Delta PSU as they are connected via the PSU. If you do not need remote access and will always be around to manually turn the PSU on/off, then you do not need to use the remote management module at all.

Fantastic packaging job and everything is functional! Surprised by the size in a good way! Thought I was going to have giant PSUs and chords everywhere. Negative, everything is lengthen just right to ensure smoother cable management. 10/10 would do it again!

Excellent match for my B250 motherboard and with enough cables for a full rig. Good value.

Your product is fantastic but your customer service is awful. There is a serious lack of instructions that come with the kit. Your service agents are polite but it takes three days to get a response and they can’t even come up with the correct answer meanwhile a random person in a discord server read the same message I e-mailed you and gave me the correct answer in five minutes. If I would have waited for your service agent’s instructions instead I not only would have lost a whole extra day of production with my rig I still would have not had the correct answer and the customer service response might have had me send the whole kit back on an RMA to boot.

which power cord should i use for the 1200W power supply? and Is there a problem that one of the copper items that you see on the outside is missing? one was lost in the shipment and I don’t know if it can affect, great product,
Joseph g (store manager) –
Hi, the small copper pin should actually be removed. Be careful they are sharp. They are not attached to anything, their purpose is when the PSU is slot in a server. they remove any space between the server slot and PSU. Power Cord! Do you remember the old Desktop computer power cord? Or the computer Monitor of the ’90s. We all have a few of these somewhere.

I don’t know if is one of the cables or the zsx breakout board, but the computer doesn’t turn on, I change the power supply and it works perfectly, what can I do?
Weirdrobot (verified owner) –
Hi, we have a problem that just came up with our B250 kit from you guys. We have the version with 2 x 800Watt PSU on 110V. Everything worked fine since about 2 months, but we just today wanted to test the units on 220V and since that the two PSU units don’t sync via the power button and sync cable anymore. When we plug in both units, the slave unit immediately powers on. And when we then power on the master ZSX Breakout Board, the other unit powers down and the main unit powers on. same if we hit the button again, the main unit then powers down and the slave unit powers back up??? After reverting back to 110V the system has the same weird behavior. Basically all reverted from what the sync cable is supposed to be doing. What could be going on and why did this all of the sudden switch? Any help would be appreciated. thanks
