Yes it is compatible with most Dell 1100W PSUs 🙂

However, it is not compatible with the part numbers 02RN7, Y1MGX, or C7JTF. We are working on designing a compatible breakout board.

I am confused.
1) Does this come with power supply?
2) What is the included cable for?
3) Is this “delta power supply” different than the common slot HP?
4) What is the molex connector used for?
5) Is this designed to add power to an existing ATX power supply system?

Thanks for your answers, answers in itemized fashion would most concisely answer my questions.

Can I forgo using a standard ATX PSU to MB, and just Pico ATX PSUs to sync power on?

Support
6 years 2 months ago

Pico is a better / cleaner solution in my opinion. However it as limits. So, the only components you would be able to power would be the Mboard ATX / CPU 4pin/8pin “4pin fit in the 8pin socket” and a SSD drive. You cannot power Riser board with the Pico SATA power. These will need to be power by the server PSU. So the riser must have PCie power socket. The X11 has 16 socket and you can use a splitter between the GPU and its Riser. As always do the math on power requirement for your GPUs.

Hi, I have one of your Delta 2400w units with rev 7 boards, can I replace them with the X11 and more importantly do I need two X11 or can I mix and match keeping one of the rev 7? All I am trying to do is sync the Delta 2400w with a small ATX so I can turn them both on/off at the same time? Thank you!

Support
6 years 2 months ago

Great idea! The 2400watt as two power bar. One side is slave and the other master. The master control the PSU ON/OFF. The X11 is backward compatible and can be use on the 2400watt. You can mix match the X7 and X11 no problem. Here, you simply need to replace the master side with the X11

I would be interested in the X12 board… upon closer inspection this morning it appears the Dell/LiteOn PS-2112-2D1-LF has 8 runs + a positive/negative run on the end compared to the HP DPS-1200SB A which has 6 runs + a positive/negative run. The breakout boards fit, but the Dell/LiteOn will not power on with the X11.

Support
6 years 4 days ago

The TCVRR part number you mentioned is incompatible with the X11 breakout boards; it is the “one REV” Joseph was referring to.

The different number of pins on the left hand of the power bar slot isn’t the issue as the X11 is designed to be compatible with both.

I’m having an issue with the X11. It is connected to a Delta DPS-1200MB-1 and an ATX PDU using the sensing 4 pin connector. It is showing 12.7V on its digital display but If I connect a single video card I can hear the Server PSU fan going from 5% to 100% and the PC crashes.

My system.

PSU: DPS-1200MB-1
Breakout board: X11

ATX PDU: Thermaltake Series SP-750M 750W

You can sync up one of your ATX power supplies to our server psu w/ X11 breakout board by connecting a molex plug from your ATX psu to connect to our molex port on our X11 breakout board. By doing this, our server psu will sync with your ATX psu and power on/off at the same time as your ATX psu.

Support

The molex plug, is the 4pin power cable that would be use on an Hard Disk Drive..

Hi can i use this to power a riser ? I plan to not use the riser sata

Support
6 years 1 month ago

Absolutely. If you plan to power your GPU’s with a server power supply you should also power the riser with that same power supply. Of course, here I’m assuming your riser will have a PCie power plug on them “Not SATA”

Customer
edy

I bought a cable set from parallel miner , its a set of several “solid 6 to 6+2” cable for pcie. Just to be sure so I can plug this cable to the breaker (the solid 6) and at the other end i can plug it into the riser (the 6 part of the 6+2) ?

Support
6 years 1 month ago

Yes you can use it on the riser 6pin and disregard the extra 2pin. The extra +2pin are use for GPU’s. Several GPU require 8pin and so the cable can be use on GPU or standard 6pin PCie

Hi Styxx
They is a rev of the Delta 1100watt “TCVRR” that is not compatible with the X11. The X12 was design especially to be compatible with it. That is the only difference. So check if your PSU have a TCVRR extension after the part number. If so, you will need the X12

Our X11 breakout board molex port works by detecting a 5v reading to activate its features. You will not be able to use the molex port on the X11 board to power up anything on your motherboard. Also our breakout board is not designed or intended to be used with any breakout board that is not ours.

I’m looking for a way to power the electrolyzer for my hydrogen torch. Would 2 of this board along with a pair of Dell 3MJJP 1100W psu’s work?

I pull in the neighborhood of 150 amps at 12v max, but that draw is more or less constant. Would this work for my purpose? If need be I can hook a Raspberry Pi or Arduino to the thing if it needs a pwm signal or something to function?

Support
4 years 2 months ago

It would but you would have to combine all the power from the PCIe connectors into one. This https://www.parallelminer.com/product/power-one-1100-watt-110-240v-open-air-gpu-mining-rig-asic-mining-power-supply/ might be a better option and much cheaper

Customer
dav_daddy

If I read that right the product in your link outputs around 100v when fed from a 110VAC source? I’m not trying to blow myself up. Lol 😉

My generator is designed to work with input from 5v-12VDC drawing from 50-150Amps constantly. I’ve burned up a couple cheap pair of jumper cables running it off of a cars alternator already.

I’ve toyed with the idea of using either a small gas engine, or like a washing machine motor to spin an alternator and power it that way. Ideally I’d like to find a psu which I can plug into the 110v wall socket to use but I’m aware that may be a tall order drawing that much current.

Support
4 years 2 months ago

If there is misprint please let me know where are you reading this? The output voltage on all our PSU / Breakout board is 12.5Volts Max. Amperage can be as high as 200amps on some of them

Will this work with HSTNS-PL11?

Support

Yes, the X11 is compatible with HSTNS-PL11. You can see the full breakout board compatibility list here: https://www.parallelminer.com/uncategorized/breakout-board-compatibility-list/

How about making more of the breakout boards with the amp meter.

I have just received my first X11 and plugged it in to a PS-2142-2L. The fan on the PS-2142-2L is running slowly and the yellow LED is illuminated on the board. When I press the ON/OFF button the green LED lights briefly, the red voltage display flickers on for a second and then switches back off, and then the green LED also goes off. What am I doing wrong?

Support
2 years 11 months ago

The X11 is not compatible with this PSU. I believed the X15 is but we are currently sold out. For compatibility list please see this https://www.parallelminer.com/uncategorized/breakout-board-compatibility-list/

On this page it lists that model as compatible: 1400 Watts: PS-2142-2L,
Is this a typo in the compatibility list?

Customer

At the top of this page in the product description the first model listed in the 1400W section is PS-2142-2L

Customer

Actually, on the page you link to the following are listed as compatible with the PS-2142-2L: X6B, X7B, X11, ZSX, and X12. Or am I misunderstanding you?

Greetings,
I am running 2 of these boards w/twin 750W HP psu’s and am using a Rebtech Mining motherboard, not ATX. I wish to run 3x 200MM case fans on my rig in the future, but can’t figure out a way to safely connect them to the X11. Didn’t think the Molex was to be used as an output, but thought I’d ask anyway. Or is there any accessory that Parallel Miners sell that I could use to do this? Thanks in advance.

Support
2 years 10 months ago

The Molex port on the X11 is sensing only. It is there to link an ATX PSU with itself. Depending on the type of connector you will need to power the 200mm fan and if they are running on 12volts. This is the adapter you should use out of a PCI-E port. https://www.parallelminer.com/product/pcie-6pin-to-molex-4pin-female-24inch-16awg-12volt-only/ and you can always use this to split it https://www.parallelminer.com/product/4pins-molex-y-splitter-cable-adapter-6-inch-long-highest-quality-cables/

Hi, are you sure this is compatible with the Dell L1100A-S0? I get an orange light, and only for a second, a green light that goes away.

The GPUs are on for a very brief period, then turn off. I have tried it with two separate Dell L1100A-S0 1100 Watt power supplys

Hi, an estimate time for restock?

Customer

2 years 7 months ago

I’m having an issue with the X11. I have brought this as a bundle with Delta DPS-1200MB-1A.
This is currently setup with an ATX PSU via 4 pin molex. It was working as intended, when ATX shuts down the Delta+X11 will also shut down.
However, after a current spike with the ATX psu (not 100% sure this is the culprit), whenever I shutdown my system (ATX) , the Delta+X11 will remain on.
I have tried pressing the electric button with no effect (the Delta+X11 stays on).

Any idea on how or what has happened?

I am in the proceess of buying a 750 HP psu with another X11 board, can any confirm that I can use the sense wire to shutdown the erring X11 board?

    Questors

The X11 Breakout Board is a blessing. I have plugged and unplugged so many times while building and troubleshooting, at this point counting is irrelevant. All parts are solidly attached and properly built. The on off switch looked a bit flimsy at first glance, but it isn’t There is no give or movement when pressing the button. This board simplifies many the many cards and risers to plugs issue. It also allows me to run 220V server power supplies, which is a big plus to me.

@Styxx – The X11 and X12 are both GREAT boards! If you are concerned with PSU compatibility issues, I recommend contacting Parallel Miner through any of their many channels. Live support via instant messaging is something nobody else in this industry currently offers, and they have responded to all of my past communications within 1 business day. These boards are compatible with just about all of the popular server PSU’s miners are using, and include a chip for self-adjusting to the PSU. In addition to being the best quality, best built, and supporting the most features of any other boards on the market, I have found these to be the most compatible as well.

The breakout boards from Parallel Miner are the ONLY boards I trust to power all of my expensive (and often irreplaceable) equipment. I have been mining since 2010 and continue evolving with the industry, having tried breakout boards from just about everywhere along the way. These boards are in a class of their own in every way!

I am just a regular customer who has been so impressed by the quality of both the products and service provided here. Taking a few minutes of my valuable time is the very least I can do to show my gratitude and appreciation. If you want the very best products coupled with the very best service, then look no further – Parallel Miner has earned my trust and loyalty from all of the years we have been doing business together. THANKS PARALLEL MINER!!! =)

I had a big loss on the purchase of the
X11 16 Port Chain Sync Breakout Board for HP DELTA LITE-ON Server Power Supply use in ASIC or GPU Mining board, I bought the Dell L1100A-S0 power supply, a model that is on the compatible list and sent it to Brazil to my friend. Once there, he turned on the board and it didn’t work, he presses the button and it quickly turns on the risers’ LEDs and then they turn off. Then I went to the comments and support wrote that it’s not supported, in a reply to a user 3 years ago. A huge negligence on the part of Paralell Miner, they didn’t even bother to review the compatible models. I spent a lot of money sending the kits to Brazil. Only prejudice.

Hello, We´ve near 30 PSUs 1100w 01Y45R (new and used) and we are having problems with x11 and x12 Breakouts.
    It doesn´t retain its state.
It works ok, until the powerline is shut, then, when the power returns, the PSU light turns green for 10-15 seconds and then, turns the yellow light.
But, if you disconnect the BO in that “error state” the PSU light turns to green and when you connect it again, it works.
So, when there is a power outrage, it does not retain its state.
Could you help us on this issue?

    • Joseph g (store manager)

Certain firmware on 1100Watt will not retain state. This is a PSU firmware issue not a breakout board issue. Please contact Albert us via our contact page. He is the expert on the matter.

i bought 2 750 W HP PSU, i plug in and ran less than 500W with a meter to know if im be on the power limit, worked well for 24H until im siting and the PSU 750W HP went crazy fan start to spin fast and POP and a bunch smoke came out of the fan, right the way turn off everything, after that didnt work anymore. lucky me that i had another one that i purchase and that one is going 2 days with out any issues. But any way, im under warranty and request a refund RMA, but so far no answer what is the next step to resolve this probem.
i just hope we can get this resolve, if not i will never buy again here. i’ll spend my money somewhere else that can provide costumer service faster and better warranty for the product.

    TLDR
    – Daisy chained if one PSU fails the other will NOT turn off
    – Boards ordered within the past 2 months seem to be failing consistently for me

I have probably well over 50+ PM boards and for the most part, they work well and are stable. Lately though I don’t know if it’s bad production runs or what, but I’ve had boards failing left and right. Thankfully if it happens within 30 days you’re okay and they will RMA it, but outside of that you’re SOL. I know it’s not my PSU I have tested with known working X11 boards that are over 6 months old haven’t had an issue since on that PSU.

To make matters worse, even with the daisy chain cable, if power is lost on one of the PSU, the other PSU/breakout board will NOT turn OFF.

Digging further apparently they designed all their boards so when you hit the switch ties the 5v line to ground to signal “switch”, which means the only way the other board knows to turn on or off is if the 5v gets tied to ground.

Bad design decision or they did this on purpose to get you to buy the “remote power management” device for $50 each which is overpriced. All they would have had to do was design it so one of the pins has 5v when it should be on, and set it up just like how the molex connector works.

For those looking for a workaround, i’ve had to hack apart the sync cable, crimp on a molex connection with the 5v coming from sync cable (use volt meter to pin it out) — if you want to power cycle it works by holding down the power button (to reset), but if you want to turn everything off, just unplug the main PSU.

ALSO — the 30 day warranty STARTS the day you place the order NOT when you receive them

I have had 4 of these fail (X11 & X11 Amp) in the past 6 months. They all have had the same problem. The power on circuit fails. This is well documented on youtube and reddit. You can solder in a couple resistors to hardwire it on but that shouldn’t have to be done.

    • Joseph g (store manager)

Thank you Ira for the information. This board is the same design since 2017. We are looking into the factory to see if a chip was replaced or changed.Feel Please reach out to me on our contact us page. I would be happy to RMA them for you.

They sent me replacements for free as 4 had died. As of writing, those have all failed as well plus 2 more from the original batch. So far in the past two years, 10 have died. I only have 2 that still work.

I’m going to give it only 3 stars… because they work — for a little while. I’ve had to replace my boards TWICE in the last 10 months. First replacement was after 4 months of use, and this round of replacement (because I just ordered another so I can get back up and running again) after 6 months. I will probably start looking for alternative products after this order, because replacing these units every 6 months or so is absurd. It’s not like they are being overtaxed either… 4-5 Polaris GPUs so barely cracking 600w load.

Pretty trash breakout boards. I bought 7 of these for 2 dell power supplies and every 2 to 3 months I had to replace them because they would not power on the power supply. Now I am all out and have to source break out boards compatible with my dell power supplies elsewhere. Researching on google shows that this is a big problem with parallel miner breakout boards. I thought this was a reliable company, but might as well go straight to china now for breakout boards.

    3 Failures:
I’ve had 3 failures on these boards. They all work for a while, then they just suddenly stop giving power and then the yellow light stays on, so it’s getting power, but the power button does nothing. I had it connected to a liteon 750w psu and it never pulled more than 600w. I’ve decided it’s more cost effective to buy a different power supply that supports a different breakout board. Parallel Miner usually has good products but this is one to avoid.
