why not make a flexible buying options in your page??? You can add more buying options for other complimentary items such as Y splitter cables, 16AWG 6 pin to dual 8 pin (6+2) cables with different quantity selection. Also a choice of other breakout board like the X12 and a single HP if one is opt to it. To be more customer centric. Since you have available items for sale just provide a separate option for full customized configuration by the customer. It works better for both. This is my suggestion and I will leave the logistics to you.
Thank you.

Thank you for the feedback. For now the easiest way for a customer to get a fully customized GPU mining kit would be to contact us directly with their specific needs.

I would like to note that the X12 is not an available kit option because it’s incompatible with this HP 1500W PSU.

Hello, can these be used with a dual 24 pin adapter? Looking to replace two ATX PSUs, and wondering how they will be powered on simultaneously.

Customer

Hi @Joseph !
Can you suggest, for a 12 gpu rig…what is the best power supply setup if only 120v “normal” outlets are available?
I guess on a single line, with a 20 amp fuse at the fuse box.
Would you chain 2 smaller server psu’s together, each with it’s own breakout board?

Customer
dylan-3796
3 years 6 months ago

Perhaps a 1200w with a 750w, the 24pin breakout board on the 1200 and a smaller board on the 750?

Customer
dylan-3796
3 years 6 months ago

An 1100w linked with a 750w. Then I guess the only concern would be if ~1500w draw on a single 110v outlet/line would trip the breaker at the fuse box or not.

Support
3 years 6 months ago

You can use two 750watt platinum. 1) With the ZSX to power Mboard & a couple of GPUs. 2) With an X11 for the other, link them together with a sync cable. Make sure to calculate your expected watt draw per GPU and do the math to remain at our below 700watt per PSU. The 750 Platinum maximum efficiency is at about 700watt

Customer

Should the green light on the back of the PSU light up if the PSU is plugged into a “normal” 120v outlet?

We are victims of our own innovation! Once the market sees what we do with PSU’s they raise their prices. We are always looking for quality PSU on the market. Hoping we can source 1500 Platinum PSU at a fair price, soon again.

Fantastic product at a fantastic price, just make sure you have 200-240v where you live! Also read the manual so you don’t brick the PSU, specifically read the ZSX breakout board manual. Doing something dumb like using one molex cable in both molex ports can cause major damage to the board and psu.

Power cord not included. Where do i get one that is compatible with this psu?

    • Joseph g (store manager)

We understand the frustrations. Within the industries of mining or IT server, we cannot know if the PSU unit will be used in the USA, UK, NZ, HK, etc. Will it be used on 200-240V, 277V, 100V, or American standard 110/120V? Will it be plugged into a wall outlet or a PDU unit? If a PDU unit, which type of plugs are available on it? Are there any specific local or government laws at the destination address related to PSUs, PDUs, and power cords?

Each of the countries we ship to use different types of outlet receptacles and so we simply don’t include power cords. That said, we do state in our listing exactly what is included in these kits and the type of power cord required.

Most of the PSUs will require a C13 power cord, a standard computer power cord that you can source locally. We offer power cords separately here: https://www.parallelminer.com/product-tag/power-cord/

Unfortunately, it is the responsibility of the importer “In this case, you” to know and abide by your country’s laws. Each country has its own rules & taxes. Some charge huge taxes other not so much. When our customers have difficulty we try our best to apply pressure on the shipping carrier that was chosen. However, like us, they have no power over your government and its laws. If we found that a particular country is becoming harsh on their citizen when importing our products we will remove them from our shipping list to avoid these customers the aggravations.

Been using this 1200w HP with breakout board for 3 weeks, when it runs fine… it’s good!
But this is 2nd time in 3 weeks that the system hangs and when trying to boot it, nothing happens but 2 vga cards’ fans will spin and the cpu fan will spin as well but nothing else. I keep unplugging power cable, pico, holding power button to shut it down or turning on/off the switch on the breakout board then boot… after 5-10 minutes of messing around it will at some point boot up properly.
as i was typing this, i went to try this : i unplugged the ATX et 8pin power to the motherboard for 2 minutes, plugged it back, then it work.
the unboard meter on the pico was stable showing 12.2

Any idea why it would do this? how do i prevent this issue? would the new ZSX board be more stable?

    • Joseph g (store manager)

The pico board is limited at 178watt. All it should power is CPU, Motherboard, and (1) SSD Drive. Anything else should be power from the breakout board. If you reach the limit it will fail. Yes the ZSX is more stable but also as limits on the Motherboard side in the 200watts range

I received this product, the quality is excellent. Quick two questions, I having some issue with booting the BIOS on my ASUS Prime Z490-P LGA 1200 motherboard.

1- Is this product compatible with ASUS Prime Z490-P LGA 1200 motherboard?
2- I did some research and some says that I need 240v to power this up, I want to confirm this from the source, my house is 220v, is this enough to power this PSU?

    Thanks!

what is the maximum capacity per-PCIE 6 pin to 6+2 pin? is it 400w? let say if I need to power my 3070 using this power supply then I can use a splitter to powering dual slot 8 pin on the GPU, is that correct?

    • Joseph g (store manager)

The power limit of any electric cable is base on its size. Here we have 16AWG stranded copper and they are three pairs per PCI-E cable. The extra 2pin are ground. Found the amp rating of 16AWG wires “Chassis rating” multiply the amp rating x 12volt = Watt then multiply by 3 pair. (Amp_Rating X 12) X 3 = Maximum watt per PCIe cable. To be on the safe side of things I would use only 80% of the result so X 0.80.

Also, take a look at this special cable https://www.parallelminer.com/product/18awg-pci-e-6pin-to-triple-8-pin-3-way-splitter-extension-cable-3x-62pin-cable/

The listing is a variation and forces customers to choose an AC voltage, there is only one option 200AC / 240AC. The tile is also very clear about that. We try the best way we can to warn customers about the limitation. In any case, don’t worry we will send you a return label and issue a full refund once return. My order was 10 boards and 10 1500w PSU and 160 6PIN tp 8PIn cables. Order was received very quickly within 5 days shipped from USA to UAE.
    The BAD:
I had my reservation about how the electrolytic capacitors on some boards looked and feared I received some broken units. But they all worked fine apart from one ZSX board.

    The GOOD:
Customer support to the rescue. This is how Customer Care and support should be. Other business can learn from the team at Parallel Miner.

A replacement unit was shipped so fast it was difficult to believe. I now know that the team at parallel miner understand the product they sell and more importantly their target market.

    Excellent job.

I received my order the other day. My excitement was dampened when I couldn’t get my rig to work. No fault of your products though, they seem to be working fine. My computer turns on but I get a black screen probably newbie mistake in the installation, will review my steps tomorrow.

Ordered 2 of these early in the morning and arrived surprisingly fast the next day for my location!! They are working great, was easy to setup took 5-15min. Definitely gonna be ordering more!!

Cons: the price went up since the last time I visited the website

Pros: does it’s job, enough PCIe ports to do a whole set up, depending on your setup, I definitely like the meters to know what’s it’s drawing
